Outdoor treelamp

An outdoor tree mounted lamp is a completely environmental friendly design based on LEED architect concern and requirement, where the project is focusing on spa and resort market which dramatically growing in Thailand. Light pollution, tree friendly installation method and lighting usage are the major subject. Although, this lamp has been design for problem solving, it also enhance a better environment in terms of lighting and housing design, which suitable for both landscape and hardscape.

Problems

Light pollution - light that is not being efficiently or completely utilized and is often pointed outwards or upwards and not downwards.no useful purpose though the most often used for self centered purposes. Light trespass - light falling where it is not intended, wanted, or needed. Uplight - wasted light, pure and simple. Light that goes directly up into the night sky is "lost in space" and serves.

Lost to stakeholders

This problem can cause to all stakeholders an unefficency of usage and atmosphere.

Ideate & Conceptualize

Key idea is to design lighting which not just avoid the pollution but try to create a natural atmosphere at night following the core value of light. Light direction and angle play an important role as well as the shadow, visualizing space to create safety feeling and pinhole effects at the same time.

This feature allow architect to customize their own patterns to create shadow on ground surfaces to create a sense of natural feeling.

With various of mask will be able to create a shadow on ground surface, which can create a design patterns on hardscape area.
